Kings own Scottish Borders Cap badge.
During the Second World War, officers of the KOSB wore a silver cap badge with an image of Edinburgh Castle in the centre, set upon a St Andrew's cross, surrounded by a circlet bearing the title "King's Own Scottish Borderers". Above and below the circle were the mottos "In Veritate Religionis Confido" and "Nisi Dominus Frustra". The whole was surrounded by a wreath of thistles and surmounted by the Royal Arms with the King's Crown.
The KOSB badge reflects the rich history and traditions of the regiment, with strong links to Edinburgh and Scotland, and symbolises the dedication and heritage of the regiment through the ages.
