Introducing the WW2 British Army lightweight assault respirator bag.

In March 1943, the MKII Lightweight gas mask was distributed, and by the time D Day arrived in June 1944, all assault troops were equipped with this updated version.

The MKII lightweight haversacks were provided to carry the Lightweight mask, either using a sling/shoulder strap or attaching it to the belt. (Please be aware that the brass belt hooks have been removed from these bags, as they were acquired by the Danish civil Defence in the 1950s but never used.) Alternatively, you can fashion one using a wire coat hanger.

These bags, dated 1944, are the ideal addition to any late war Army, Airborne, or Commando impression.
