This set would have been worn by a Royal  Airforce Sergeant from 1939-1941 on his SD Service Dress uniform and then from 1942-1945 on his Battle Dress.

RAF Sergeants Air Gunners mainly on large Bomber planes like  wellingtons and Lancaster’s etc.

The RAF Sleeve Eagles were worn by all ranks except Officers and Warrant Officers, Stipes were also worn on both arms and the qualification wing above the left pocket
