1940's "V" neck tank top, officially called "Sweater, Sleeveless" by the US Army.
These where issued by the US Army in WW2 and where generally worn over the wool shirt as an extra layer. Various styles of the sleeveless sweater can be seen being worn in WW2 as they were also made by the Red Cross with slightly different designs. These sweaters are made to the US Army design.
