WW2 US Army webbing belt pouch to hold 2 magazines for the Colt 45 pistol.
The M1923 ammo pouch was the standard magazine pouch issued in WW2 to the US Army and was used by all branch of services such as the Infantry, Military Police (MP), Armoured and Infantry units.

This Colt 45 ammo pouch is designed to fit onto the M1912 pistol belt and has a press stud on the belt sleeve so it can be clipped securely in place onto the press stud on the front of the M1912 pistol belt.

Flap is secured by a single pull the dot clip.
Holds two 7rd Colt 45 magaznies (magazines not included)
The Colt 45 magazine pouch features:
Belt sleeve in the back of the pouch so it can slide onto the M1936 pistol belt.
Press stud on the back sleeve which matches up to press stud on the M1936 pistol belt, clip it in to stop the pouch sliding around on the belt.
Holds 2 x Colt 45 magazines.
"U.S." stamped on the front.
Flap is fastened by a lift the dot style clip.
