American WW2 HS-18 headset for the US Army WW2 Tankers helmet and the USAAF flying helmets.

The HS-18 headset set is a two part set which consists of the R-14 receivers, which fit into the rubber ear pieces on the flying helmets or the ear pieces on the M38 tankers helmet, and the PL-54 plug with cable.

These highly detailed reproduction headsets are made for display or for finishing off the look of your tankers/air force impression, they are not intended to work the cables inside are dummy cables.
The USAAF used the HS-18 receivers in the A-8, A-9, B-5 and the B-6 flying helmets. The US army used them in the M38 tankers helmet.

The black plug has the correct printing of PL-54 and the ear receivers are moulded with the stampings on them so they are imprinted with "RECEIVER R-14 SIGNAL CORPS US ARMY" and the have the correct red ink over mark on them

These will fit the replica tankers helmets but they are tight fit so you need to be careful when you are fitting them in. If you try to force them you may damage the helmet, just be gently when pushing them in and try different angles if they don't go in the first time.
